Lion Heart is a mixed media work inspired by a beautiful vintage door knocker soon to be transformed into an art piece signifying strength.  The artist compares the lion's head to the strength of the human heart, placing the metallic piece right in the center of the composition, as wiry material spreads outwardly on the canvas like veins stemming from the heart.  The border is carefully painted to appear checkered, adding to the many, dynamic textures.  
 
The pieces ornateness, with its rich golds and vivid reds, invoke a powerful sense of boldness and courage, reinforcing the message of strength.  
 
Materials include feathers, braided wires, fine mesh and decor paper on a wooden canvas.
